mission and is simple by design. Led by our lower school science
teacher, Leiana Hawkins, children will be allowed to explore
woods, streams, and meadows and let their curiosity be our
guide. Our routines will include a group gathering time, a short
walk to our dedicated outdoor classroom space, and time to
explore a variety of ecosystems on campus.

14inch telescope inside the roll-top roof observatory, allowing
visitors to safely look at the sun and search for sunspots.
Other objects such as the moon and planets may also be visible.
In the event of poor weather, we will have hands-on activities
indoors instead.
The observatory will be open from 1-2:30pm every Sunday. miSci
galleries will be open continuously from 12-5pm. Access to the
observatory or activities is free with museum admission ($12
Adult, $10 Senior, $8 Child).

This quilting
class is for both beginning quilters and quilters who want to
improve their skills. Beginners will make a compete quilt top in
the 12 weeks. Students will learn the correct methods of
cutting, sewing, and pressing to produce a finished product they
are proud of. More experienced quilters will learn tips and
tricks for better quilting. All this plus loads of fun and
laughs. A sewing machine will be needed for class and fabric
will be purchased after the first class.
